JOB SUMMARY:
* Supervise and control all manufacturing processes included from initial raw materials to the finished pallets
* Maintain HACCP, hygiene, and Food management systems
* Participate with the Quality manager to maintain the integrated systems
Key Activities / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that Ball Standard requirements, regulatory, and customer needs are met by ensuring effective shift management review and ensuring that issues arising from these are effectively dealt with and the necessary corrective actions are implemented. Identify major concerns and, where appropriate, ensure these are fast-tracked to senior management.
- Lead the printing quality meeting and take the required actions to maintain the standard quality of printing.
- Coordinate the shift team's actions to ensure, via SPC techniques, that key processes (such as finished can dimensions) meet customer requirements and improvement plans are implemented to improve process capability PPK.
- Use and improve existing process control equipment and techniques to analyze HFI ( RCA )issues and develop and implement reduction plans.
- Perform an assessment for all HFI pallets regarding the severity and the quantity, and make a decision to be sorted or to be scrapped.
- Manage the sorting process in the shift to make sure that all quality requirements is implemented.
- Ensure that proper and safe systems of working and means of avoiding dangerous or potentially hazardous conditions are adopted, and work with the team for risk assessment for quality tasks.
- To identify root causes of variation, develop and implement action plans to improve process capability
- Ensure shift teams operate and maintain the quality control system effectively and undertake shift management reviews.
- Inspection camera review, analysis, reporting, and work to minimize the rejection rate by solving RC
- Participate in customer complaints, corrective and preventive actions
- Incoming material inspection and make sure it’s conformance
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
BS.C of engineering science or BS.C of Science chemistry department or any other equivalent - Preferably a post-graduate diploma in TQM
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
- Food industry ( 3-5 years )
- Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Problem solving / total quality skills
- understanding & experience of working to External Quality/Environmental Standards i.e. ISO 9001:2015 / 14001/45001 / food management systems FSSC , food safety …..Etc.
- manufacturing background in a high speed, high volume continuous process
- Good understanding of modern lean manufacture technique - SMED, Kaizen 5S, Kanban, Structured Problem Solving, TPM/OEE, SPC, 6 Sigma …etc.
- A management style heavily orientated to training and coaching
- Good computer skills – ability to manage via computerized data
- Decision maker
