**This role must be located in Monterrey or Mexico City.**
Primary Purpose of this Position:
Leads the Commercial and Business Development team and functions in Mexico and Central America. Responsible for regional annual operating plan, negotiation and execution of customer short and long term contracts, and responsible to execute all Ball initiatives in the Central America Joint Venture by being an active member of Board of Directors and committees. Leads and manages region business development/new logo sales & distributors, and associated P&L for the region, executing against 1-3 year strategy plan & priorities and go to market strategy as market conditions evolve. Responsible for identifying and analyzing business opportunities and sustainability actions to be taken in the region, and working with relevant partners to execute.
What will you be responsible for?
- Sets commercial strategy for all regional customers in Mexico and Central America, including identifying and presenting opportunities for value growth.
- Manages the strategic relationship with the ECA JV partner, providing direct supervision along with Ball legal counsel area of all legal affairs in México and Central America.
- Supervises and manages customer contract negotiations by initiating corresponding processes as bids or direct negotiation, leads approaches for playbooks, strategy and coordinated work with contract & price administration.
- Prepares and finalizes contracts and commercial letters , aligning the commercial efforts in Mexico and Central America with BPNCA´s Global Executives KAM´s (examples : Coke , Heineken & ABI) , working effectively in a matrixed organization ensuring collaboration between regional and global resources.
- Prepares and analyses competitive market strategy for Mexico and Central America , developing strategic plans for the region in conjunction with the BPNCA planning & strategic planning area.
- Leads team to drive business growth in region working with commercial strategy and marketing by identifying opportunities related to new customers and by creating new markets.
- Leads team to generate sales leads, expanding Ball BPNCA’s customer base in Mexico and Central America by building sustainable client relationships; incubates new business/ new logo sales to maturity and oversees successful handoff into core business.
- Grows business and relationship with customers and distributors, developing deep understanding of customer’s business by identifying opportunities in both existing and new products; accountable for set contribution margins result to annual operating plan.
- Manages customer communications through customer contacts and regional buying organizations
- Leads Mexico Commercial Team, Direct Reports (Business Development Manager & Regional Commercial Manager, Dotted Line to Heineken Lead) along with the supervision of key strategic partnerships, identifies where Ball will win in short and long term.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in relevant experience, including leading teams
- Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions, including
- Team leadership and people development
- Strategic thinking, bringing business success/exceeding measurements and goals.
- Finding, leading and developing new accounts, growth and business incubation.
- Strong communication skills and understanding of different stakeholders both internally and externally to work together effectively and is willing to take risks in the interest of advancing a collaborative relationship.
- Beverage packaging industry within region geography, including new opportunity markets.
- Beverage customers in Mexico and Central America
- Commercial sales process and frameworks that support driving effective sales functions.
- Price pack architecture and pricing structures for new customers.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hiring Salary Range: $118,842 - $160,667 MXN/month (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- Job Grade: 14
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
