Position overview:

As the Plant Controller you are accountable for management reporting and financial forecasting for plant business manufacturing operations. Your role forms part of the local senior management team and will contribute towards the development and implementation of local strategy, by providing strong financial business partnering to the Operations team and driving ongoing cost efficiency. The position reports to the UK Regional Plant Controller and has a dotted line to the Plant Manager at Ball Kettering. You will work in close cooperation with colleagues at the plant in Kettering and function as a member of the Plant Management Team. In addition, you will have regular interaction with managers and colleagues in the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operate within local senior management team, representing Finance and providing functional strategic direction as necessary

• Support regional UK Plant Controller, driving EVA opportunities

• Various monthly plant performance reports and analyses.

• Timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts in line with corporate deadlines

• Develop and maintain suitable cost control environment for operations

• Management of local capital budgets and reporting, including all local investment proposals.

• Maintenance of local fixed asset register; including periodic verification process and any necessary impairment review

• Physical verification of locally held inventory and accuracy balance sheet valuation

• Timely and accurate completion of all plant focus SOX/GCF controls, as directed by the business

• Manage and direct annual financial AOP process for local operations

• Provide rolling financial forecast information for local operations

• Primary responsibility for reporting and control of all operational KPI

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a similar role in an international organization

• CIMA/ACCA qualified

• Excellent analytical skills, process analysis skills, and attention to detail

• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (especially advanced knowledge of Excel)

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

• Ability to work with cross-functional Finance teams in multiple countries

• Fluent in English
