Project Manager II – Data Manager

Ball Aerospace is looking for a Project Manager to join the Mission and Process Analytics (MPA) team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be a member of the dynamic MPA team; a team tasked with being a champion for data-driven decisions throughout the enterprise while advancing Ball Aerospace’s data analytics and data governance strategies and goals.
  • Collaborate with team members and business stakeholders on projects that answer key questions that enable informed decision-making.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and publication of visualizations/dashboards and other reporting tools for consumption by the business community, contributing as part of a team for the team’s goals and/or in special circumstances directly with leadership to fulfill MPA’s objectives.
  • Act as liaison between project team, functional management, and project stakeholder.
  • Develop and communicate project tasks, schedules, and scope to project team with the assistance of MPA management
  • Utilize MPA tools to document and communicate project status with project team.
  • Prepare and communicate project status reports to MPA leadership.
  • Recommend changes and enhancements to project operations.
  • Plan and conduct regular project meetings with project team, MPA leadership, and/or stakeholders.
  • Bring new and innovative ideas to the MPA team and Ball Aerospace.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need:

  • BS/BA in a related field plus 6 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Ability to demonstrate technical expertise in data querying and integration tools, such as SSIS, SQL or VQL.
  • Experience with visualization tools and the development of dashboards and reporting solutions; tools like Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects Web Intelligence.
  • Experience with supply chain data and processes.
  • A passion for solving problems and finding answers to business questions.
  • Attention to detail, cost-conscious mindset, self-motivation, and go-getter attitude.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $91,500 - $124,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
