POSITION SUMMARY

Since Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy Principal Executive Assistant. The Principal Executive Assistant is an integral operational partner to the President & CEO, responsible for ensuring that the daily workflow of the CEO’s office runs with precision, consistency, and purpose. This role is the operational continuity, execution of priority initiatives, and alignment across functional leadership. This individual bridges the gap between administrative efficiency and managing the rhythm of executive activities, coordinating cross-functional follow-through, and enabling the CEO to focus on leadership and necessary decision-making.

This position works in close, structured partnership with the Chief of Staff (CoS) and the Executive Operations Manager within the Office of the CEO. While the Principal Executive Assistant focuses on daily operational workflow, execution logistics, and administrative continuity for the CEO, the Chief of Staff operates at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution across the enterprise. The Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff function as a unified support system for the CEO, and their coordination, communication, and collaboration are essential to the effectiveness of the Office of the CEO.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and optimize the CEO’s daily operational workflow, attention, and energy are directed toward highest priority activities

  • Anticipate the CEO’s operational needs and proactively address logistical, informational, and administrative requirements throughout each day

  • Coordinate and track follow-up items, action tasks, and commitments arising from the CEO’s meetings, communications, and decisions

  • Prepare agendas, briefing documents and supporting materials for all CEO-led or CEO-attended meetings

  • Serve as a coordination bridge between the CEO’s office and functional leadership, ensuring communication clarity, timely responses and accountability

  • Ensure the CEO is fully prepared and informed in advance of high-stakes engagements, including board interactions, investor meetings, and external partner events

  • Collaborate with the senior staff Executive Assistants to align scheduling, logistics, travel, expenses and administrative support

  • Maintain and manage the CEO’s operational calendar in alignment with priorities in coordination with the Chief of Staff

  • Support the Chief of Staff in tracking CEO-level strategic priorities, ensuring operational activities remain aligned with enterprise goals, objectives, and measures

  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce friction, and improve the effectiveness of the CEO’s office

  • Lead or support short-term operational projects as directed

  • Perform additional job duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or related field

  • 10+ years in a coordinator, project, or executive operations role

  • Experience supporting senior leadership in a fast-paced, technical environment

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized, proactive, and trustworthy with confidential information

  • Proficiency in project management tools and office productivity software

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation

  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position

  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones

Physical Requirements

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time)

  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time)
