POSITION SUMMARY
The Global Strategy Lead will support the development and execution of the company’s corporate strategy across all lines of business, ensuring alignment with long‑term vision, growth objectives, capital strategy, and the evolving global policy environment. Reporting to the Chief Global Policy Officer, this role translates macro‑level aerospace market trends and domestic and international government policy developments into actionable strategic priorities, investment recommendations, and growth opportunities that position the company for sustained leadership in a competitive global space ecosystem.
The Global Strategy Lead will work closely with U.S. and International Government Relations, business development, sales, finance, and business unit leadership to align strategy with policy, budgetary, regulatory, and customer dynamics. This role supports competitive analysis, scenario planning, and customer road‑mapping for NASA, allied governments, and international institutions, ensuring coherent execution across strategy, government affairs, and commercial teams. As a thought partner to the Chief Global Policy Officer, the Global Strategy Lead will contribute to long‑range positioning and strategic decision‑making in an increasingly policy‑driven global space market. This position is located at Axiom Space Headquarters in Houston, Texas with 25% travel anticipated.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support development and execution of the company’s corporate strategy across all lines of business, ensuring alignment with long-term vision, growth objectives, and capital strategy
Translate macro-level trends in the aerospace markets into actionable strategic priorities and investment recommendations
Translate developments in government policy trends across domestic and international markets into strategic opportunities for growth
Coordinate closely with U.S. Government Relations and International Government Relations to align corporate strategy with policy, budget, and regulatory environments
Partner with business development and sales teams to develop strategies for U.S. and foreign government customers, including mission alignment and customer road-mapping
Support the development of competitive analysis and scenario planning across all product lines
Support the integration of strategy, business development, finance, and government affairs to ensure coherent execution in partnership with the business units
Monitor evolving customer needs across NASA, allied governments, and international institutions, translating them into corporate priorities
Act as a thought partner to the Chief Global Policy Officer on long-range positioning in an increasingly competitive and policy-driven global space ecosystem
QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience
Undergrad Technical degree with master’s in public policy or equivalent, 10-15 years; at least 10 years of experience working in and/or directly with federal agencies
Demonstrated ability to understand an organization's mission, values, goals and priorities and ensure all are considered in developing communications strategies
Self-starter with ability to independently execute communications priorities
Utmost adherence to confidentiality and business ethics; demonstrated outstanding judgment and discretion
Familiarity with human spaceflight is a plus
Track record of delivering in ambiguous, fast-moving environments under tight deadlines

Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time)
May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time)
