POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a resilient, high-energy, Operations Planning Engineer. The operations engineer will develop Axiom Mission Operations plans and processes and certify to be an Axiom Flight Controller. The flight controller will be responsible for coordination, analysis and tracking of an execution timeline. They will also be responsible for real-time monitoring, analysis, and response of specific vehicle subsystems during pre-flight, ascent, on-orbit, and entry phases.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Build detailed plans for Axiom spaceflight missions.
Manage inputs from customers and schedule tasks based on priority and availability including payload customers, media and other agency requests.
Work closely with internal Axiom mission support teams and external stakeholders to incorporate mission requirements into a mission timeline.
Lead internal planning process development and documentation.
Define Concepts of Operations for planning processes both internal and external for Axiom Station missions.
Contribute to mission software requirements, testing, and integration for Axiom Station operations.
Participate in pre-mission sims, mission rehearsals, and certification events.
Communicate project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership
Implement and maintain project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform additional job duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other related Technical degree required
0-2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
Track record of delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

Proven to deliver high quality results under tight deadlines
Demonstrate ability to progress and accomplish flight controller certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Generally, an office environment or shift work in a Mission Control Center
Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
Must be willing to work shifts (nights, weekends and holidays).
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time)
May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time)
