POSITION SUMMARY
Our team is looking for an energetic and dynamic Electronics Technician who will primarily be responsible for the assembly and test of electrical hardware form the developmental stages through flight. This position interfaces with employees and government agencies. This position reports to the AxEVA Production Lead. This role is onsite and will be based at our Gemini facility located in Webster, TX.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble, test, and integrate prototype, qualification, and space-rated avionics hardware.
Assemble, test, and integrate prototype, qualification, and space-rated PLSS hardware.
Ability to read and understand drawings and diagrams of avionics and other assemblies / systems.
Ability to assemble prototype and test boxes with minimalistic drawings.
Familiarity with standard lab test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition boxes, etc.). and Test Stands.
Must be able to interact with all engineering disciplines and technical management in a professional team-oriented environment.
Support the manufacturing and assembly of hardware in the facility and through on-orbit operation.
Communicate project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.
Gain / maintain the ability to train the technician staff in workmanship standards (IPC-J-STD and IPC-620 or others as required be contract).
Help the Production Lead mature organization through development of standard workflow.
Assists in strategy, infrastructure development, resource planning, and operations in support of the Axiom Suit as required by the Production Lead.
Assist Production Lead with lab and production teams’ schedules, escalation of issues, across multiple production functions (manufacturing, assembly, test, etc).
Develop and deliver hands-on training programs for technicians on technical electrical hardware systems, tools, and procedures.
Create and maintain training materials, manuals, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with company standards.
Evaluate technician skill levels and identify areas for additional training or performance improvement.
Provide one-on-one coaching and technical guidance to new and existing technicians.
Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure training content reflects current equipment, processes, and safety protocols.
Track training completion, assess effectiveness, and implement continuous improvements to the training program.
Support onboarding of new technicians to accelerate readiness and ensure technical proficiency from the start.
Perform additional job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience
Associate degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; commercial or military aircraft experience strongly preferred.
Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience as an electronics technician.
Proven background in board-level, system-level, and spacecraft-level electronics hardware.
Demonstrated expertise in fabricating, assembling, and testing avionics and electrical assemblies.
Must hold one or more of the following certifications (Preferably at the Trainer Level):
NASA-STD-8739.4: Workmanship Standard for Crimping, Interconnecting Cables, Harnesses & Wiring
IPC/WHMA-A-620: Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies with Space and Military Applications (Electronic Hardware Addendum)
IPC J-STD-001: Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies with Space and Military Applications
NASA-STD-8739.3: Through-Hole Soldering
NASA-STD-8739.1: Workmanship Standard for Polymeric Application on Electronic Assemblies

Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones
