We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer who is preoccupied with big questions: Where do we go from here? What are the limits of innovation and exploration? How do we continue to evolve as a species?
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will play a key role in the development of embedded software for development of commercial EVA Spacesuit Graphical Display.
Responsibilities will include the development, testing and deployment of embedded software to support UI/UX solutions.
Create, test, and integrate embedded software in prototype and flight environments.
Communicate with subject matter experts across disciplines, users, and management through the software test and development.
Maintain the integrity of our disciplined software configuration and management processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, computer engineering or related field
5+ years of experience developing software for microcontrollers and embedded systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience delivering graphics APIs, graphics drivers or Game Engine subsystems for graphics
Experience with either DirectX/Vulkan/OpenGL
Experience working with Embedded Linux
Experience using operating systems (e.g., Linux, VxWorks, RTEMS) and communications protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C) to interface with spaceflight hardware
Proficient with code in C/C++
Experience with development of NASA safety critical software
Familiar with NASA core Flight System software (cFS)
Knowledge of QT Software Ecosystem preferred
Experience implementing 3D graphics features such as lighting, effects, shaders, and other low-level systems preferred
Essential Functions
Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
