Position
The Avio Group is seeking for a Project Controller to manage financial, project schedule, accounting, budgeting, reporting of the Project, in compliance with statutory obligations, company policies and internal procedures, aiming at the optimization of the Project financial performances to represent the Company with the various stakeholders.
The Project Controller participates in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of performance on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity and level of risk of the execution phase and is a key member of the finance and project team and works directly with the Project Manager to help define the project's goals and objectives; and recommends actions to improve progress and performance.
The Project Controller will have interface with Project Managers, senior technical staff, as well as other functional organizations including contracts, FP&A, accounts receivable, subcontract management and procurement.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- to ensure the budgeting and forecast process for the Project in accordance with Company guidelines;
- to manage the cost control system, to ensure the correct cost allocation, the compliance of costs with contracts or agreements signed by the company and the variance analysis between actual values and budget/forecast figures;
- to manage project cash flow, authorizing all payments and treasury operations made by the Project;
- to support the AFC Area in following up on the audit process, discussing and resolving any issue with the External Auditors;
- to liaise with Legal and Contract Departments regarding the preparation of contracts and agreements;
- to coordinate and liaise with Partners, Suppliers and Customers;
- to ensure that the various procedures for the purchase of equipment and services are duly followed by all the departments;
- to manage schedule development and management, performance status and reporting, baseline change control, risk management, earned value management guidance and tools;
- advice and consult on the application of effective planning techniques and controls (earned value, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion, critical path analysis);
- monitor and control project compliance in respect of the project’s contractual obligations;
- ensuring the Project controls team produces weekly / monthly / Quarterly reports in line with the project and company reporting calendar, providing details on progress, actuals, forecast and explanation of variances;
- manage governance to ensure robust cost and schedule performance for the agreed Scope of Work across integrated programs managed across multiple suppliers;
- to work closely with the Project Manager to maximize the potential of the project.
Requirements
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or Management/Industrial Engineering;
- experience (2–5+ years) in Project Controlling, Cost Controlling, Financial Analysis, PMO, Planning & Scheduling;
- advanced Excel, ERP systems, MS Project or Primavera P6, Power BI;
- knowledge of contracts, procurement processes, audit support and compliance;
- fluent English (C1);
- strong analytical mindset with attention to detail;
- excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills;
- high integrity, accountability, and a proactive approach to risk prevention.
