Business Development Specialist

We’re looking for a proactive, adaptable, and mission-driven Business Development Specialist to bring breakthrough technology to market. As a key member of the business team, you will engage external stakeholders and government partners.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Proposal and Briefing Development
- Identify government contracting opportunities and evaluate success probability
- Write compelling proposals
- Liaise with customer organizations on project progress
- Prepare external materials, including presentations and marketing collateral
Strategic Market Research and Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities
Partner and Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop materials for potential customers, partners, and investors
- Internal technical and engineering interface
- Manage client relationships and follow-ups
- Support conference attendance and participation
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of business development experience, preferably in a startup environment
- Strong technical competency in an engineering environment
- Understanding of government contracting, defense, and commercial sectors
- Exceptional proposal writing skills, Strong organizational, briefing, and business communication capabilities
- Collaborative team player able to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
ITAR Requirements:
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
