This is the opportunity of a lifetime. Auriga Space is revolutionizing space access by developing electromagnetic space launch systems that offer significant advantages in launch cost, reliability, frequency, and responsiveness compared to traditional rockets.

We are looking for an embedded firmware engineer with power electronics experience to join our team and help drive hardware projects through their life cycle: starting with requirements generation, concept development, detail design, manufacturing, and finally testing and commissioning. The ideal candidate will thrive in a start-up environment and be excited to work with a small, high-performing, and hands-on team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D in electrical engineering or similar field
  • Fundamental knowledge of power electronics and electric machines
  • Experience in programming and using Microcontrollers and FPGAs
  • Experience with electric motor control, power inverters, and DC converters firmware is a plus
  • Strong comprehension of design fundamentals
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on, constantly evolving environment
  • Detail-oriented and capable of effectively prioritizing and executing tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Applied engineering experience in power electronics (firmware and hardware)
  • Relevant experience, such as previous employment, laboratory work, or personal/team projects
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer (or similar software)
