Job Description:
The Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator oversees the end-to-end lifecycle for all hardware essential to maintaining the operational integrity of the ATLAS global network and its customers. You will coordinate the procurement and shipping of equipment necessary for ground-site establishment, repair, and decommissioning, customer integration and compatibility testing, and testing and operations of antennas and ground-site hardware. Your work will directly support mission readiness by conducting trend analysis to ensure critical equipment is properly positioned and accurately tracked. This role requires strong multitasking and organizational skills as well as the ability to work closely with commercial vendors, supply chain partners, and ATLAS engineers. Secondary duties include performing other essential daily administrative and accounting functions while supporting ATLAS’ overall operational goals.
Responsibilities:
Logistics & Supply-Chain Support
- Oversee the logistics program with a focus on cost efficiency, including anticipating and actively managing program costs
- Conduct predictive sparing and trend analysis to identify critical Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and proactively deploy spares to ATLAS’ ground sites worldwide
- Maintain accurate tracking and auditing of all global assets using asset management systems (e.g., AssetTiger)
- Manage the entire lifecycle of hardware equipment and assets, including procurement, international shipping, export controls, customs, duties & VAT, RMA repairs, and decommissioning
- Maintain shipping and receiving operations between vendors, supply chain partners, and ATLAS ground sites worldwide
- Identify and resolve asset data gaps; lead recurring audits and maintain the asset database
- Develop and maintain internal shipping policies and procedures
- Analyze logistics vendors’ costs to improve pricing and operational efficiency
- Support mission readiness goals by reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) through effective logistical planning and inventory management
Accounting & Administrative Support
- Support the core logistics and supply chain function by managing Purchase Orders, coordinating order fulfillment, and performing administrative tasks within the ERP system (e.g., Oracle Fusion)
- Manage relationships with and contracts for various vendors, including supply chain partners and local office vendors, to ensure efficient operation and resource procurement
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the ATLAS team as required
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in logistics, inventory, administrative, or operations support
- Experience with international shipping, export controls (ECCN), customs regulations (EAR/ITAR), and freight forwarding
- Proficiency with asset tracking and inventory management systems (e.g., AssetTiger)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Dynamic, self-stating professional with strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking
- Experience managing vendors and coordinating contracts
- Familiarity with federal property management or government contracting environments preferred
- Supply chain or logistics certification (e.g., APICS, CLTD, ASCM) preferred
- Working knowledge of satellite communications or technical hardware environments preferred
Salary Range:
- $50,000 – $70,000 annually, based on experience
Location:
- On-site at ATLAS headquarters in Traverse City, MI
