The Global Digital and Business Intelligence Engineer will work directly with our SVP Global Marketing to drive select technical aspects of our global initiatives. This position requires a builder mindset that can map and then develop Astroscale’s global digital infrastructure to support our rapidly evolving business.
Candidates should be prepared to work in a result-oriented, highly visible environment solving complex problems. This position will significantly influence the global digital operations of the Astroscale Group with ability to work closely with the senior management team and local business development teams. Candidates will also gain hands-on experience in marketing and communication in the growing space industry.
Responsibilities
- Own maintenance and development of our global website, working closely with our Digital Marketing Manager, global entities, and external agencies to report and continually optimize performance.
- Contribute technical support to our other owned media channels such as our social media accounts, external and internal newsletters, and internal communications forums (e.g. Global All Hands).
- Develop and lead Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives across our global (ex-US) Marketing, BD, OCE, and Finance teams to improve communication, identify best practice, and support projects.
- Maintain our company-wide Share point intranet to improve employee engagement through discoverability, tracking, and feature development (e.g. secure zones for external parties).
- Other tasks assigned by the SVP Global Marketing based on candidate interests and company needs.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Responsive design, and version control/GIT and UI/EX for front end and Java, Python, and PHP for back end. Our website is based on GitHub / Vercel / Contentful.
- Experience in complex data analysis, visualization, and warehousing, SQL, and report generation
- Understanding of SharePoint architecture and user / document access and security.
Desirable skills
- Website development and maintenance experience in a multi-language environment. You know how to learn from the best and continually improve complex intranet and internet systems.
- Experience in managing an online store and / or direct to consumer digital interactions. You know how to tie B2C, B2B, and B2G initiatives together internally and execute flawlessly externally.
- Digital Transformation exposure across multi-language offices in a matrix environment. You know how to identify and execute elegant technical solutions to complex operational challenges.
