Venturi Astrolab, Inc. (Astrolab) is pioneering new ways to explore and operate on distant planetary bodies. We are singularly focused on designing, building, and operating a fleet of multi-purpose commercial planetary rovers to extend and enhance humanity’s presence in the solar system. As a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator at Astrolab, you will be responsible for generally supporting the Supply Chain team with purchasing duties such as procuring materials and performing supply follow up, as well as Inventory duties such as goods receiving and kitting as needed to support our engineering and operations teams. This role is crucial in maintaining the supply chain for our lunar rovers, balancing cost, quality, and delivery timelines to meet our project needs. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, procurement, and production to ensure that Astrolab’s inventory control and logistics processes are efficient and strategic.

This is a temporary position for up to six months, depending on project timelines.

What You’ll Do:

  • Vendor Performance: Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or service to maintain smooth procurement operations
  • Incoming goods receiving: Receive goods physically & digitally into our inventory management system
  • Warehouse management: Organize & maintain the physical storage of our direct and indirect goods by flight pedigree and other requirements compliant to our quality management system
  • Production kitting: pick & kit to production materials and components necessary to execute on our production priorities
  • Shipping and Logistics: Physically package and electronically arrange the shipping out of components to suppliers and customers
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and finance teams to align inventory control activities with project timelines and budgetary constraints

What you'll bring:

  • 1-2 years of warehouse and inventory control in a similar industry, OR 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software (e.g. NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with procurement in manufacturing, technology, or aerospace industries is a huge plus
