The Director of IT will oversee the organization’s IT operations and security, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. This role involves managing the company’s technology infrastructure, including networks and data centers, and the IT services that support business operations and service delivery. The Manager of IT is responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of data and IT systems, as well as compliance with cybersecurity, regulatory, customer, and data privacy standards while ensuring an efficient and effective user experience.

What you'll do:

  • Business Support & Planning: Develop, design, implement and support the right solutions to support the functional needs of Astrolab
  • Strategic Planning: Determine long-term needs and pursue purchases and contracts to achieve business objectives
  • Budget Management: Oversee budgeting, strategic planning, and forecasting
  • Team Leadership: Support, train, coach, manage, and mentor IT personnel and vendors to support a user-friendly environment with efficient solutions
  • Project Management: Track projects and company initiatives to successful conclusions and clearly communicate IT systems status, priorities, and blockers to company leadership in a timely manner within budget
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement IT policies and procedures that support security, compliance, performance and reliability
  • Security, Compliance & Audit Support: Develop, integrate and maintain necessary security and compliances to meet or exceed customer requirements and industry standards. Able to maintain high security standards and identify/remediate various threat vectors
  • Software Development: Support DEV and PROD environments for development, versioning, tracking and roll-out
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, including periodic auditing
  • System Development, Integration & Maintenance: Oversee Astrolab IT environment, both on-prem and within Azure providing direction and expertise in roll-out, integration, maintenance, security and redundancy in an environment demanding near 100% uptime with system resiliency
  • User support: Ensure that Astrolab employees can efficiently and effectively perform their tasks, that IT requests are dispositioned and triaged in a timely manner, and that all systems are reliable, stable and secure

What you'll bring:

  • 15+ years in IT or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven ability to manage IT functions across data, wireless communications, mobile tech, security, SaaS products, and hardware, along with network infrastructure rollouts
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
