We are singularly focused on designing, building, and operating a fleet of multi-purpose commercial planetary rovers to extend and enhance humanity’s presence in the solar system. As an intern with the Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services (LTVS) team working on providing rover services to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that tasks are properly coordinated and executed. You will assist in organizing and managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and facilitating communication between various teams and organizations, including NASA, involved in the LTVS effort. Your responsibilities will include supporting document deliveries, maintaining file systems, and ensuring that all documentation is accurately organized and easily accessible. By working closely with the project management team and others, you will help ensure the smooth operation of the LTVS program, contributing to the success of LTVS.

This internship opportunity will begin in early January 2025 and will last between 3 to 6 months.
This internship will solely focus on program management for LTVS.

What you'll do:

  • Assist with day-to-day project management tasks, including scheduling meetings, tracking project milestones, and coordinating between various teams and organizations involved in the Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services project
  • Help document deliveries to NASA, ensuring accuracy and delivery on time.
  • Maintain effective document control and ensure all files are properly stored, labeled, and accessible
  • Provide support with software systems, including maintaining and working in the Office suite Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is desired, as is experience using Jira and Confluence and/or other configuration-management systems and/or project management platforms
  • Support the creation and iteration of deliverables to meet NASA instructions
  • Capture and update status of program, getting data and metrics from various electronic platforms
  • Assist in administrative tasks as needed to keep the project on track

What you'll bring:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a college degree
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail, especially in managing documents, files, and project schedules
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to coordinate between different teams and ensure timely and effective communication
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality work
  • Capable of working collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and other team members
  • Previous experience in project coordination in any setting (e.g., academic or volunteer)
  • Interest in space exploration, automotive systems, or lunar missions a plus
