Job Description:
We need a Facilities Lead who ensures our infrastructure is safe, efficient, and future-ready. This role is vital for maintaining the optimal environment for innovation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and aligning our facilities with organizational goals. This is a startup environment with all that entails – we move quickly, often have short deadlines, and ask our team to make the seemingly impossible happen.
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Thinks outside the box and demonstrates resourcefulness by identifying creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Both teaches and learns continuously to drive collaboration, adaptability, and efficiency.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and via messaging platforms, integrating technology to enhance team alignment and productivity.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of facilities management, including maintenance, safety protocols, and space optimization.
  • Plan and execute projects to completion, ensuring they meet specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Utilize internal and external resources effectively to manage AstroForge headquarters facility operations, including maintenance, repair, and upgrades.
  • Leverage tools, automation, and digital platforms to improve operational efficiency, and enhance communication.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, building codes, and permitting requirements.
  • Ensure maintenance work meets safety standards and is tracked and completed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing facilities and maintaining equipment within highly regulated manufacturing environments such as Aerospace, Automotive, Semiconductor, or similar industries.
  • Proven track record of managing projects and facilities operations.
  • Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated use of technology to improve workflows, streamline communication, and reduce manual tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while thinking creatively to overcome challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing cleanrooms.
  • Expertise in facilities systems and improvement projects.
  • Skills in occupational health and safety, including risk assessment, policy, training, and hazardous substances management.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in emergency management and workplace hygiene.

Salary
$25 - $35 per hour
ITAR RequirementsTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
