Position Summary
Astro Digital is seeking a detail-oriented and highly dependable Logistics & Inventory Specialist to support our spacecraft production activities. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth movement, storage, and tracking of materials across our integration facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of inventory control, shipping and receiving, cleanroom material support, and logistics coordination.
This is a hands-on role working closely with engineering, procurement, and integration teams, and directly supporting cleanroom operations to ensure that technicians are always supplied with clean, kitted, and properly documented materials.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Receiving & Material Handling
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including inspection, documentation, and system entry
- Ensure all received parts meet cleanliness and documentation standards before introduction into the cleanroom
- Handle unpacking, labeling, and storage of flight and non-flight hardware
- Operate material handling equipment, including electric pallet stackers and carts
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate and real-time inventory records in the digital system (Odoo experience a plus)
- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliations
- Track and organize materials by project, cleanliness level, and storage location
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory and storage areas
Production & Cleanroom Support
- Prepare and deliver material kits to integration technicians based on production schedules
- Clean, verify, and stage hardware for cleanroom introduction in accordance with contamination control standards
- Monitor material usage and restock work cells to avoid downtime
- Ensure proper material traceability and documentation throughout the hardware lifecycle
- Provide support to Engineering and Integration teams wherever necessary
Shipping Coordination
- Coordinate outbound shipments of hardware, including packaging, labeling, documentation, and logistics scheduling
- Ensure compliance with export control requirements and ITAR/EAR procedures
Continuous Improvement
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics, material handling, and inventory management
- Support process improvements to enhance material flow, cleanliness compliance, and traceability
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in receiving, inventory control, or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Experience with inventory and ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work in and around cleanroom environments while following contamination control procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting aerospace, satellite, or cleanroom-based manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with ISO 8 (Class 100,000) cleanroom procedures
- Forklift certification or prior use of electric pallet stackers
Work Location
This position will be in-person at the Littleton, CO facility.
Pay Transparency
Astro Digital employees are provided with a comprehensive benefits package that includes company stock options, healthcare, 401k retirement plan, and PTO. The range of possible compensation for this role is $45-65k annually, depending on candidate experience and alignment.
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 Lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching may be required.
