Job: Engineering Manager

Location: Milan

Salary: €60,000 + bonus + benefits

Piper Maddox are partnered with a well-established and growing international renewable energy IPP with a 10GW+ pipeline who are seeking an Engineering Manager to further drive the pipeline across Europe.

This candidate will play a key role in managing technical delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design and performance analysis (layouts, PVSyst, technical studies) across PV, BESS, and Wind projects
• Provide engineering input across the full lifecycle, from site assessment through to construction and operations
• Act as a technical advisor supporting development, M&A, and asset optimisation activities
• Manage technical due diligence processes, coordinating with external advisors and lenders’ engineers
• Oversee design delivery, documentation, and external engineering partners across all project phases

Key Skills:

• 3+ years in utility-scale PV design across the lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with PVSyst, PVcase/VirtoCAD, and AutoCAD; capable of delivering construction-ready drawings and energy modelling (e.g. voltage drop, cable sizing)
• Solid understanding of PV optimisation (LCOE focus), Tier-1 components, IEC/CEI standards, and grid interconnection processes
