Overview

As an Energy Associate, you will operate as a high-impact generalist, combining energy sector knowledge with the ability to execute across both strategic and operational topics. You will work at the intersection of product strategy, commercial enablement, partner education, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role is suited for someone who is highly driven, comfortable working in fast-paced environments, and eager to take ownership of topics end-to-end. If you are curious about the evolving energy landscape and enjoy turning ideas into action, this role offers significant scope for impact.

Responsibilities

Energy Strategy & Product

  • Support the execution of energy-related product initiatives, contributing to positioning, messaging, and market development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product, marketing, operations, and sales) to align on partner needs and ensure delivery of commitments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability in internal workflows, including sales processes and partner communications, using CRM systems and automation tools.

Sales Enablement & Partner Support

  • Act as a subject matter resource for internal commercial teams, particularly in more complex or technical discussions.
  • Engage directly with external partners to provide guidance on energy-related topics such as tariff structures, metering systems, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory considerations.
  • Support partner onboarding and ongoing education by explaining product value propositions and revenue opportunities.
  • Take ownership of technically complex conversations, ensuring clarity around regulatory requirements, commercial models, and system configurations.

Knowledge Development & Content

  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by supporting training initiatives and improving overall understanding of energy topics within the organization.
  • Develop materials such as guides, FAQs, internal documentation, and partner-facing content.
  • Participate in external meetings and industry events to support relationship-building and establish credibility with partners and stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

We prioritize problem-solving ability, initiative, and practical experience over specific backgrounds. The following attributes will support success in this role:

  • 1–2+ years of experience within the energy sector (e.g., utilities, energy suppliers, grid operators, service providers, or energy-focused startups).
  • Familiarity with electricity pricing structures, metering technologies, and relevant regulatory frameworks, with the ability to explain these concepts clearly to non-experts.
  • A generalist mindset, with comfort moving between strategic thinking, operational execution, and communication tasks.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to proactively drive initiatives forward.
  • Clear and effective communication skills across verbal and written formats.
  • Demonstrated interest in the energy sector and awareness of market and regulatory developments.
  • Completed postgraduate degree (field not restrictive).
  • Language proficiency: German (fluent) and English (intermediate or higher).

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Exposure to areas such as demand-side flexibility, distributed energy systems, or grid services.
  • Experience with CRM systems or workflow automation tools.
  • Background in startup, consulting, or other fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
