Position Overview
The Technical Product Manager (India) is accountable for defining, managing, and validating product requirements for satellite‑gateway and RAN delivery across global deployment programs. This role ensures that technical specifications, operational workflows, and deployment constraints are aligned to support efficient rollout and sustained, high‑quality service performance.
Positioned at the intersection of technical product design, deployment engineering, and satellite‑gateway/RAN integration governance, this role requires a strong balance of engineering depth, operational insight, and disciplined delivery execution. The Technical Product Manager plays a critical role in accelerating rollout velocity, improving readiness quality, and enabling the Activation Director’s mandate to deliver market‑ready infrastructure at scale and speed.
This position is responsible for gathering India‑specific requirements, managing configuration landscapes, supporting high‑level design activities, validating product readiness, and ensuring that all features and integrations satisfy global acceptance criteria, operational standards, and activation milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Product Requirements & Technical Alignment
- Lead India‑based requirements gathering for satellite‑gateway and RAN deployment product features.
- Translate deployment needs, operational constraints, and integration challenges into structured product specifications.
- Define high‑level product designs supporting gateway installation, site integration, activation, and end‑to‑end readiness.
Configuration & Integration Governance
- Manage configuration sets required for gateway and RAN deployments, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability.
- Coordinate with RF, core, OSS, gateway, and deployment engineering teams to validate product configurations for global market activations.
- Support configuration reviews, parameter governance, and alignment with acceptance and readiness checkpoints.
Product Readiness Validation & Acceptance Support
- Validate product readiness through design reviews, operational checks, configuration verification, and controlled deployments.
- Ensure product features, integrations, and service behaviors meet global acceptance criteria and performance thresholds.
- Support field validation, probe‑based test alignment, and cross‑team telemetry verification.
Cross‑Functional Coordination & Delivery Enablement
- Work closely with engineering, NOC, PMO, deployment teams, and service delivery functions to align product readiness with deployment schedules.
- Provide high‑level designs, documentation, readiness artifacts, and structured handover packages for activation and operations.
- Ensure product capabilities align with real‑world deployment needs across diverse regulatory and operational environments.
Documentation, Change Management & Communication
- Develop documentation including HLDs, configuration guides, integration notes, acceptance templates, and readiness documents.
- Maintain product roadmaps, version control, change logs, and impact assessments for deployment cycles.
- Communicate product updates, risks, timelines, and dependencies across global and regional stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement & Deployment Optimization
- Documentation, Change Management & Communication
- Develop documentation including HLDs, configuration guides, integration notes, acceptance templates, and readiness documents.
- Maintain product roadmaps, version control, change logs, and impact assessments for deployment cycles.
Deliverables
- Product requirement documents (PRDs), high‑level designs (HLDs), and configuration governance packages.
- Deployment readiness templates, integration summaries, and acceptance documentation.
- Configuration version sets, change logs, and feature impact assessments.
- KPI‑aligned readiness reports and cross‑team communication updates.
- Activation support packages enabling smooth transition to operations and NOC workflows.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, ECE, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
- Master’s degree or Product/Project certifications (CSPO, PMP, Agile) preferred.
Experience
- 6–10 years of experience in technical product management, telecom integration, RAN delivery, or gateway deployment programs.
- Experience defining product requirements for large‑scale telecom or satellite‑network deployments.
- Strong background in integration workflows, configuration governance, and deployment readiness validation.
- Experience collaborating with global delivery teams and multi‑region technical stakeholders.
Required Technical Expertise
- Solid understanding of gateway systems, RAN integration flows, satellite‑enabled architectures, and OSS/NOC hooks.
- Familiarity with CIQ, parameter sets, configuration governance, and acceptance frameworks.
- Knowledge of readiness KPIs, validation processes, integration checkpoints, and operational hand‑off workflows.
- Ability to interpret telemetry, probe results, traces, HLDs, and deployment artifacts.

- Strong analytical thinking with ability to convert technical requirements into structured, actionable product specifications.
- Excellent cross‑functional communication across engineering, deployment, operations, and leadership teams.

Technology Proficiency
- Requirements and collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Notion.
- HLD/LLD and documentation tools: Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io.
- KPI and telemetry platforms: Grafana, Kibana, Power BI.
- Familiarity with OSS/NMS interfaces and telecom configuration tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work across global time zones and participate in remote review sessions.
- Willingness to travel within India or internationally for workshops, readiness reviews, or activation support.
