Intern - Solar Panel Electrical and Power Systems Engineering
AST SpaceMobile
AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.
Position Overview
The Solar Panel Electrical and Power Systems Engineering Intern will support the design, fabrication, and production of photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays used in satellite and aerospace applications. This role provides hands-on exposure to flight hardware manufacturing, supporting engineers and technicians with process development, panel assembly, and production optimization. The intern will contribute to improving the reliability, efficiency, and manufacturability of space-rated solar array systems that power mission-critical spacecraft.
This internship is from 5/18/2026 to 8/7/2026 on-site at our Midland, TX facility. A housing stipend of $250 per week will be provided. You must be enrolled in the following semester. If you just graduated, please apply to one of our full-time roles.
