CSAT Integration Technician- Night Shift
AST SpaceMobile
AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.
Position Overview
We are seeking a CSAT Integration Technician to support the hands-on integration of satellite subsystems and harness assemblies. This role is focused on precision electronics integration, cable and harness dressing, soldering, and mechanical fitment during satellite build activities. The CSAT Integration Technician will work closely with integration leads and engineers to identify issues during build, prevent damage during assembly, and ensure work is performed to documented procedures and quality standards.
This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to recognize when integration steps are being performed incorrectly, and the confidence to escalate issues before hardware is damaged.
This position is assigned to Shift 2, working Monday–Thursday, 6:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m. Depending on business needs, this role may also have opportunities on:

- Terminate, route, dress, and secure wire harnesses per drawings, work instructions, and IPC standards
- Perform soldering, rework, and inspection on flight and non-flight hardware as required
- Integrate mechanical and electrical assemblies while ensuring no damage occurs during installation
- Identify integration issues, fitment conflicts, or process gaps and communicate them to integration leads and engineers
- Recognize when improper techniques or procedures could result in hardware damage and stop work when necessary
- Support troubleshooting of integration-related issues identified by the integration team
- Follow ESD, cleanliness, and aerospace quality standards at all times
- Document issues, discrepancies, and lessons learned during integration activities
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineering, quality, and test teams during CSAT build and integration

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on satellites, spacecraft, or high-reliability aerospace systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, harness drawings, and mechanical assembly drawings
- Experience identifying and preventing hardware damage during integration activities
- Prior experience working in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environments
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
