Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled RAN Commissioning Engineer to support remote commissioning, configuration, and integration of Radio Access Network (RAN) components into core networks. This role requires strong technical expertise, troubleshooting capabilities, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network deployment and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support remote commissioning, configuration, and integration to the Nokia RAN and Core networks (S1, X2, IP/MPLS, O&M).
- Prepare, review, and verify CIQ parameters to ensure accuracy before integration.
- Validate software loads, licenses, and patch levels; perform remote health checks and pre-handover verification tests.
- Monitor installation progress via NetAct, MantaRay, BTS Site Manager and resolve configuration, connectivity, or hardware alarms remotely.
- Collaborate with Core, Transmission, and Logistics teams to isolate and resolve issues.
- Provide second-level (L2) technical support to field teams.
- Act as a technical liaison between field teams and subject matter experts.
- Provide regular updates on installation progress, CIQ readiness, and risks to project managers.
- Document and share best practices for field and remote installation processes.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
A minimum of 3–5 years in RAN integration and remote support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on knowledge of router connectivity, GNSS antenna daisy-chaining, and SFP/fiber handling.
- Strong understanding of RAN-to-Core interfaces (S1, X2, IP/MPLS, O&M).
- Experience in CIQ preparation, verification, and troubleshooting mismatches during integration.
- Proficiency with NetAct, MantaRay, BTS Site Manager.
- Experience working in multi-vendor environments.

- NetAct, MantaRay, BTS Site Manager
- IP/MPLS network protocols.
- CIQ management tools.
- Remote desktop and collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom, SharePoint).
- Basic scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to support remote troubleshooting outside of standard business hours when required.
