Summary:
The Manager of Satellite Testing will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities around testing dozens of satellites a year. You’ll work hands-on with hardware and software, manage a team of talented test engineers and technicians, and play a key role in building high-quality communications spacecraft.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of engineers and technicians responsible for testing satellite systems and larger subsystems.
- Manage test setups, fixtures, GSE, and harnessing
- Own the satellite test floor: manage day-to-day test activities, safety protocols, and workflow efficiency
- Work closely with design and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Contribute to building out our testing infrastructure as the company grows
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in spacecraft or satellite integration and test, ideally in a fast-paced commercial environment
- 5+ years of experience supervising groups of at least 5 employees
- Demonstrated leadership behaviors to motivate, engage, and build trust
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CubeSats and/or commercial satellite constellations
- Ability to thrive in a small team and startup environment
