Infrastructure Project Manager

Location: Predominantly remote but will require travel in between sites

Provides expert guidance and leadership in the planning and management of complex Broadcast and Utilities site builds from pre-construction through closeout. Responsible for the successful delivery of high-impact projects on time, within budget and to the specified quality and delivering to relevant safety legislation and standards. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the construction of major critical infrastructure projects in the media & broadcast industry. A civil engineering background is preferred.

The Role:

• Provide expertise in the planning and execution of complex site builds from concept to completion.
• Conduct advanced site surveys and assessments to gather and analyse data.
• Develop and approves comprehensive scope of works aligned to timelines, and budgets aligned to Arqiva's technical standards and policies
• Monitor project progress and implement strategies to meet deadlines and budgets using Arqiva's project management and financial systems.
• Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders and team members.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate and comprehensive throughout the project lifecycle including project handover and safety files / packs.
• Identify and mitigate high-level risks to project success.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements, especially Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and CDM Regulations 2015, ensuring roles / duties are allocated and all requirements met.
• Mentor junior project managers and provide technical guidance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for project management processes.
• Provide thought leadership through construction project management expertise and act as an SME for the team.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, and resource plans.
• As required, act on behalf of the Client Developing H&S plans, ensuring construction phase plans are developed / followed.
• Co-ordinate risks with Principle Designer, monitor on-site work to ensure compliance with legal duties and promote a strong safety culture including timely notification and investigation of accidents / near misses

The Person

• Construction Project Management - expertise in construction project management e.g. site planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation
• Project management - ability to manage one or multiple projects or project tasks and meet deadlines
• Project planning - ability to create project schedules, allocate resources, define milestones and track progress
• Risk management & QA - ability to identify and mitigate potential risks, and implement quality control processes
• Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support
• Budget management - ability to effectively manage project and team budgets.
• Innovation & CI - ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement
• Substantial experience in construction project management.
• Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
• Understanding of industry standards and best practices.
• Understanding of agile methodologies.
• Proven track record of successful delivery of complex projects.

Qualifications

  • Degree or higher in a numerate discipline, preferably Engineering
  • Proven track record of delivering projects to time and budget, with a focus on safety, quality, and sustainability
