We are looking for an EE Lab Equipment Specialist to join our team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage Test Equipment maintenance activities for Anduril facilities in Costa Mesa, Santa Ana , forward deployed contract manufacturers and testing facilities.
- Equipment data entry in JIRA system/equipment tracking system and manage the database, ensure that it is updated, including but not limited to updating location and user info, calibration date.
- Perform daily electrical test equipment checkout process and activities for requesters.
- Manage the communication of calibration recalls to tool owners/user.
- Procure and source equipment under the direction of lead and engineers as required.
- Ensure proper equipment performance are properly checked and calibrated.
- Manage and track the physical recall of devices requiring calibration.
- Maintain accurate calibration records and assist in audits as required.
- Ensure all calibration activities are performed accurately on time.
- Manage the coordination of calibration activities with equipment user and calibration vendors.
- Engage with vendors and manufacturers to initiate Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and repairs if test equipment fails calibration or needs repairs.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment with ambiguous targets and adapt work plans based on new outcome.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in calibration, metrology, or a related field.
- Experience managing calibration at a large organization and production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Experience working with and managing 3rd party calibration vendors.
- Experience with a variety of measurement instruments, including but not limited to electronic, mechanical, and optical devices with strong preference on electrical test equipment.
- Familiarization with AS9100 and/or other external auditing and compliance agencies and standards.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Unassisted.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a metrology department or Minimum 3 years experience as calibration specialist.
- Experience in a laboratory or technical environment.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and documentation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
