Anduril is seeking driven individuals to join our growing Test and Evaluation team. In the Project Engineering role, you will lead coordination of flight test activities in support of production requirements across multiple programs. Positioned at the intersection of a variety of critical teams, you will coordinate and drive progress from initial concept testing through production readiness validation. You will be responsible for developing cross-functional strategies as well as managing the day to day execution of support to production teams. Anduril is a rapidly growing company, and the right person for this role should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities.

Candidates for this role should have extensive experience in flight test and DoD developmental efforts. They should be technically inclined and able to comfortably understand core engineering design principals. The right individual needs to be excited about the prospect of working on a growing team and will be expected to contribute from day one. This role will support multiple products including RoadRunner, Bolt, Anvil and Ghost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning and execution of test events in support of production requirements across multiple programs, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Responsibilities include interfacing with program leadership, preparing and maintaining technical and tactical level schedules and plans, and managing resource constraints.
  • Communicate clearly to program leadership flight test progress as it pertains to production priorities and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and flight test support to the production team.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth execution of flight tests in support of production requirements.
  • Conduct safety and risk assessments of production test events and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with program management and other engineering departments to support or lead authoring of the acceptance test procedures (ATPs).
  • Lead process improvement efforts for ATP efficiencies, workflows and drive efforts to close.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in flight systems production and project management.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and standards.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience supporting production flight testing.
  • Ability to travel as required to remote locations.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with high-performance flight systems and technologies.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory standards such as FAA.
  • Experience working with Unmanned Air Systems and familiar with aviation testing terminology.
  • DoD Operational Test experience or equivalent.
US Salary Range
$142,000$185,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
