ABOUT THE TEAM

The Industrial Security Team at Anduril is a highly specialized security team responsible for managing Anduril's cleared personnel, classified programs, and secure facilities. We operate at the intersection of cutting-edge defense technology and stringent security requirements, ensuring the integrity and protection of national security. Our team is comprised of experts in security management, compliance, risk assessment, and physical security, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of security in support of national and international defense initiatives while providing the best customer service both internally and externally.

ABOUT THE JOB

We’re looking for a Security Specialist to join our rapidly growing team nationwide. In this role, you will be responsible for aiding our Personnel Security team in processing security clearances for Anduril employees nationwide. You will also be acting as an on-site security presence, assisting our Facility Security Officer with administrative on-site tasks. This will require someone who is familiar with the DoD security clearance process, SEAD 3 and SEAD 4, and cleared personnel requirements and responsibilities as well as someone who is familiar with working inside classified spaces and understands the run-rules. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Add badging and alarm permissions to cleared and authorized personnel
  • Track, issue, and change combinations for classified safes and doors in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117
  • Maintain cleared and uncleared visitor logs
  • Perform entry and exit inspections
  • Work with the FSO to manage semi-annual alarm, guard response time testing, and physical security checks
  • Assist the FSO with on-site tasks as needed
  • Manage and initiate personnel clearances background investigations and process visit access requests (VARs) and mandatory SEAD 3 reporting via Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
  • Provide employees with personnel security guidance consistent with the 13 adjudicative guidelines to assist them in managing their clearances.
  • Handle in-person and virtual requests and inquires, as it pertains to Security Services Help Request, Security Information Management System (SIMS), Security Forms, Incoming/Outgoing Visit Request, New Hire Orientation Briefings, Cleared Employee Training, Foreign National Contacts and Foreign Travel Briefings.
  • Process visitor requests; enters clearance information into the visitor database and/or researches information in DISS and SIMS clearance database.
  • Coordinate classified meetings requiring VARs; liaison between Security Services and Anduril meeting hosts to facilitate meetings.
  • Prepare SCI nomination packages, coordinate with customer sponsor’s COR and SSO, submit SCI VARs through customer sponsor, and assist with scheduling indoctrination and debriefing appointments.
  • Prepare SAP Program Access Requests (PARs), review SAP Pre-Screening Questionnaires, and coordinate with Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSOs) on PAR/PSQ submissions.
  • Manage the SIMS security database with clearance, access, visit, and adverse information.
  • Communicate with Anduril employees on additional information requests,
  • Enforce Anduril’s security policies and procedures.
  • Update SIMS and other databases for clearance and visitor tracking.
  • Ensure Anduril information in the DISS is accurate and timely.
  • Assist the Security Services Team, as needed.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma and two years of personnel or industrial security-related experience
  • Possesses excellent organization and tracking skills, and attention to detail and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with conducting briefings and debriefings; ability to clearly explain security processes and procedures
  • Experience with DoD 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DISS, and NBIS.
  • Experience with reviewing SF86/eQIP
  • Proficiency in use of computers and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Ability to communicate and interact professionally and courteously both orally and in writing with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality. Anduril is an “in-person” office.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and prioritize workload based on urgency.
  • Must hold a current U.S. Secret security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in adjudicating security clearances
  • Familiar with NISS
  • Familiarity with SIMS security software
  • Familiar with SCI and/or SAP nomination processes and Pre-Screening Questionnaires (PSQs)
US Salary Range
$70,000$105,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
