ABOUT THE JOB
Join our dynamic security team at Anduril Industries as an Assistant Contractor Special Security Officer (ACSSO) in Costa Mesa, CA, where you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding our nation's secrets. We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant professional to support our Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). As an ACSSO, you will assist in shaping the security landscape of our organization. You'll collaborate with a team of security experts to develop, implement, and manage a robust security program in strict adherence to Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and other relevant policies. Your responsibilities will span across multiple domains, including personnel security, information security, Operational Security (OPSEC), and physical security for our Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and specialized program areas.
In this pivotal position, you will:
- Assist in the formulation of security policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of our Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and apply preventive measures to maintain our high standards of security.
- Facilitate security education, ensuring all team members are aware of and comply with established protocols.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain security clearances and manage sensitive information effectively.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform all aspects IC Customer Personnel Security Program to include, guidance and assistance for validation of SCI access, access requirements, processing SCI and eligibility and polygraph requests, nomination interviews, submission of investigative requests, conduct SCI security briefings; obtain signed Non-Disclosure Agreement and Non-Disclosure Statement; and perform other related personnel security actions.
- Support all aspects of Physical Security by providing day to day support for badging, access control and visitor control of assigned SCIFs.
- Support program managers and personnel with classification guidance and other program related requirements, i.e., incoming and outgoing visit certifications, foreign travel reporting and proposal support.
- Ensure classified material is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, safeguarded, and destroyed, as appropriate.
- Investigate SCI security infractions and prepare required reports.
- Provide security awareness training as required by regulations and requested by the customer.
- Work with Information Technology (IT) teams and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to ensure equipment being brought into the secure areas is authorized and approved.
- Collaborate and assist the ISSO / Information System Security Manager (ISSM) on management of information systems.
- Ensure all security requirements are maintained to satisfactorily pass Government inspections.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a minimum of 2 years full-time experience working with SCI in a security role, but specifically in personnel, physical, information and basic information assurance.
- Ability to work independently in an operational environment and must possess knowledge of a full range of security principles, concepts, practices, products, and services; methods for evaluating risk and vulnerability; implementing mitigating improvement; and disseminating security procedures/processes.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with an in scope, Full-Scope Polygraph
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) Facility Security Officer Program Management for Possessing Facilities course
- Experience with Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and Scattered Castles.
- Experience with SIMS or another security management tools
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
