The Senior Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for the company by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. This individual will enforce company policies and procedures related to security, and provide leadership and guidance to junior security staff. As a Senior Security Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our dynamic workplace, where the fusion of autonomy, AI, computer vision, and sensor technologies transforms how military systems are conceived and delivered. Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol the facility and fill post; serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and rule infractions.
- Monitor access to the building, maintaining a log of visitors and ensuring that unauthorized individuals are prevented from accessing restricted areas.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances promptly.
- Conduct detailed incident reports and maintain daily activity logs.
- Provide guidance and support to junior security officers, ensuring that all security personnel are adhering to established security protocols.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and first responders when necessary.
- Assist with the development and implementation of security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Conduct security assessments and risk evaluations of the premises.
- Participate in security training and stay current on the latest security trends and best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience as a security officer or guard.
- Familiarity with security protocols and procedures.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- The ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in security administration or similar field is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP) by ASIS).
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a security role, with a track record in a senior or supervisory capacity.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
