We are seeking an Flight Engineering Intern for Summer 2025! This is a paid, in-person, 12 week internship based out of Costa Mesa, CA.

Position Overview: Anduril Industries' Flight Engineering Department is seeking two talented and passionate interns to join our dynamic team this summer. Our department is divided into three critical areas: Flight Software (FSW), Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC), and Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MSA). As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts in one of these areas, contributing to the development and testing of advanced autonomous systems.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in the design and development of flight software algorithms, GNC systems, or simulation models.
  • Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC): play an important role in driving the design, development, testing, and implementation of cutting-edge flight system technologies for our aerospace systems.
  • Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MSA): develop solutions that enable our team to design, test, and ultimately deploy superior products at reduced risk.
  • Flight Software (FSW): contribute to the development of flight computer vehicle software for airborne and subsea vehicles.
  • Participate in the integration and testing of software/hardware components in lab, ground, or flight tests.
  • Analyze data collected from simulations and flight test events to inform system improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address engineering challenges and enhance system performance.
  • Engage in creative problem-solving to advance our UAS and missile technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be a rising senior at the time of their internship and returning to school at the end of their internship to continue their academic studies for at least one quarter/semester.
  • A strong foundation in software development (for FSW candidates), control theory (for GNC candidates), or analytical modeling (for MSA candidates).
  • Keen interest in autonomous systems, UAS, and missile technology.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S. Citizenship may be required).

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
