This position is looking for a highly motivated Program Manager with emphasis in FAA, DOD, FCC and other regulatory organizations focused on compliance. Work closely with the program leadership. legal and a wide spectrum of cross-departments you will lead and support efforts focused on enabling the team to move fast and changing the industry forever. The role will be responsible for executing, and managing all compliance efforts for the Test & Evaluation team.

The Test and Evaluation team at Anduril works across the entire spectrum of products and business lines, as well as all sub-surface, surface, airborne operation and test range management. Our team conducts full system level development testing, new production acceptance testing, sub-component qualification testing and much more. In short, if it involves test, we support it. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead our compliance programs for flight operations of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for Test & Evaluation (T&E).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all T&E engineering activities, partnering with Anduril Legal and EHS organizations to manage processes and internal workflows as required to meet FAA, DOD, FCC and other related regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the engineering, operations, and legal departments to ensure integrated compliance solutions.
  • Provide leadership in developing technical solutions to ensure compliance with military guidelines, regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures across Anduril’s products.
  • Develop and implement a compliance program that ensures all UAS operations adhere to FAA regulations, military directives, and any applicable local laws.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of current and new regulations to determine impact on company operations.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of all required documentation, including Certificates of Waiver or Authorization (COAs), Special Airworthiness Certificates, and any other necessary filings.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of all required documentation needed for FCC STA filings and renewal.
  • Coordinate with flight operations to ensure that all pilots and equipment operate within the established guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a current knowledge base of relevant regulations and best practices in UAS compliance.
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide training and guidance to company personnel on compliance matters.
  • Manage the compliance resources effectively.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree or Juris Doctor preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in aviation compliance, with a focus on unmanned aircraft systems.
  • Experience working in a flight research or flight test environment (civil or military).
  • In-depth understanding of FAA regulations, such as 14 CFR Part 107 rules, waivers, COAs, exemptions or other processes and experience obtaining as well as preparing requests for these various authorizations for unmanned aircraft systems.
  • Experience implementing DOD aviation procedures and records requirements such as DCMA 8210 Ground Operations Procedures. Knowledge of military flying directives and remotely piloted aircraft operating procedures.
  • In-depth understanding of FCC regulatory requirements, in addition to Special Temporary Authority (STA) application and renewal processes
  • Proven track record of managing and executing compliance programs and interfacing with regulatory bodies.
  • Previous expertise and working knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules and regulations thereof.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
  • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
  • Strong computer and documentation experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Able to work extended hours as required
  • Bias for action – if you see a problem, you want to solve and fix it
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret-Level security clearance.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working directly with the FAA, Department of Defense (DoD) or FCC regulators.
  • Experience working with manned aircraft personnel and familiar with aviation terminology.
  • Hold FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate, and FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Has former DOD UAS operational experience.
US Salary Range
$128,000$175,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
