WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Create, maintain electrical system and compliance test strategy, and test plans for Ground Control products.
- Analyze and drive coverage and analysis of failures observed in integration and compliance level testing.
- Develop test procedures defining specific test setup requirement and instructions based on power quality specifications and industry standards.
- Facilitate electrical system performance, calibration, and EMC testing of developmental hardware per test plan.
- Design support test equipment for performance and compliance testing.
- Schedule and execute test plans independently or collaborate with related test/validation/design engineers/project managers.
- Act as a liaison to conduct offsite testing and provide directions to lab personnel in setting up and executing EMI/EMC compliance testing.
- Post-process test data and produce comprehensive test report which covers all related information such as detailed information about equipment, test setup, test procedure and results plot.
- Leverage data analysis and existing tools to reproduce and characterize failures.
- Lead EMC troubleshooting efforts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on electrical integration and compliance testing.
- Experience using software tools to manage complex test programs and report findings cross functionally - Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Familiarity with high voltage safety protocols and practices.
- General understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory with technical experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with data parsing and data visualization programs such as Python, MATLAB or LabVIEW.
- Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscope, function generators, data acquisition, spectrum analyzers and vector network analyzers.
- Ability to travel to and work at remote sites and testing facilities to supporting test execution, commissioning and training as required.
- Familiarity with environmental testing such as MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464
- Strong root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Pursuing a Master’s of Science or PHD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- Hands on experience with external laboratory testing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory compliance standards.
