ALL.SPACE
ALL.SPACE is at the forefront of satellite communications, developing next-generation antenna terminals for space applications. We are seeking a skilled Junior Antenna Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, simulation, and analysis of advanced antenna systems.
This role offers a great opportunity to work on cutting-edge antenna technologies for satellite communications and contribute to the advancement of the next-generation of All Space terminals.
Job Overview:
The Junior Antenna Engineer will work on phased arrays for Ku/Ka band satcom systems and support the design, electromagnetic (EM) simulation, analysis, and testing of key components such as PCB antennas, array sub-systems, and dielectric lenses. This role requires a strong foundation in electromagnetics and antenna theory, hands-on experience in simulation and testing, and the ability to collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop innovative antenna solutions for satellite systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Antenna Design: Support the design and analysis of phased array antennas, including element design, feed networks, and array integration.
- EM Simulation: Perform electromagnetic simulations using tools like HFSS, CST, or FEKO.
- Prototype Development & Testing: Assist in the development of antenna prototypes and conduct lab-based testing and validation.
- Simulation & Measurement Analysis: Analyse simulation results and experimental data using MATLAB, Python, or other similar tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, systems, and RF engineers to integrate antenna designs into larger communication systems.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations on designs, simulations, measurements, and performance.
Education:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
Essential Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in the design and analysis of antenna systems is preferred, but strong candidates with excellent academic credentials and relevant project experience will also be considered.
- Solid foundation in antenna theory with a deep understanding of phased array principles, covering array configuration, feed networks, mutual coupling, and key performance metrics.
- Involvement in modelling and simulating phased array elements such as patches, slots, and dipoles.
- Familiarity with Ku- and Ka-band operation and associated design considerations.
- Proficiency in full-wave electromagnetic simulation tools like Ansys HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, or FEKO for antenna modelling and optimization.
- Hands-on experience in lab settings involving antenna measurements, anechoic chamber testing, and RF instrumentation.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of microwave circuit design and integration of RF components.
- Experience with PCB layout for RF and microwave circuits using Altium or similar design software.
- Programming skills in MATLAB, Python, or similar languages for data analysis, automation, and simulation support.
- Exposure to optical design, particularly involving dielectric lenses and their applications.
