Graduate Hardware Engineer

ALL.SPACE is seeking a Graduate Hardware Engineer to support the design and implementation of hardware subsystems for mobile and fixed tracking antenna terminals. The position reports to the Director of Hardware and will offer an exciting opportunity to develop skills in the hardware systems of satellite antenna terminals, which include multi-beam satellite links, identification, acquisition, and tracking using electronically steered antennas (ESA) and hybrid electro-mechanically steered antenna systems in mobile and fixed platforms such as aeronautical, maritime, and land applications.
This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to start their careers in hardware engineering. The successful candidate will be involved in hardware design, PCB design, and integration, working alongside senior engineers to deliver cost-effective and manufacturable solutions for a variety of applications, from high-end aeronautical systems to more affordable consumer devices.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of hardware subsystems, supporting senior engineers in the architecture and integration of satellite terminal systems.
- Work on PCB hardware design, supporting the creation of efficient and manufacturable solutions for diverse applications.
- Contribute to testing and verification of hardware in the lab, using test equipment like oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers under guidance.
- Support design reviews by helping prepare and present design summaries and documentation.
- Learn and apply lab safety protocols and develop hands-on skills in PCB rework and hardware testing.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and cost objectives.
- Assist in the certification process for electrical and operational standards compliance.
- Contribute to the creation of design procedures and process improvements as part of a team.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams, including Systems, Software, RF, and Mechanical engineers.
- Participate in training and development programs, enhancing your skills in hardware design and problem-solving.
