Senior Project Engineer

Agile is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer who will provide technical experience and depth to project teams developing hypergolic in-space propulsion systems, engines, and system components. The ideal candidate for this role will have technical experience to provide guidance to other engineers on the program, to make informed architecture decisions, and guide the development process while working as a team member on active product development projects. Critical skillsets being sought after include product development experience through multiple product launch cycles, project and team leadership skills, technical decision making, and hypergolic propulsion experience.

Choose to work onsite in Durango, Colorado, or in a hybrid capacity out of our Seattle, Washington.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interdisciplinary project teams to develop and build hypergolic in-space propulsion system and components.
  • Ensure smooth program transition from engineering development into flight production.
  • Establish technical relationships with customers and clients.
  • Define technical work packages and review work products from the team.
  • Outline technical logic plans to lead teams through the hardware development lifecycle.
  • Provide co-leadership with program management for team organization, resource demands, and project execution.
  • Support design execution activities, test planning, risk and opportunity management, and issue resolution.
  • Manage the delivery of technical documentation including gate reviews, interim technical reviews and data items.
Requirements
  • B.S. or advanced degree in related engineering or technical field
  • 10+ Years of experience with product development
  • Experience leading the end-to-end design and production of hardware products.
  • Multi-disciplined engineer confident working through ambiguity and uncertainty across complex assignments.
  • Experience developing technical work plans, including estimation of required resources.
  • Experienced with developing hypergolic in-space propulsion systems and components.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in managing technical baselines and product configurations.
  • Experience generating content for and presenting at technical gate review (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.).
  • Experience developing and managing contract deliverable documentation to space customers
  • Experience with managing risk and opportunities through development lifecycles
  • Experience developing and working with chemical propulsion systems.
  • Experience working with or around toxic / hazardous propellants.
  • Hands-on experience with rocket propulsion systems.

Employment Type: Exempt

The expected salary range for this role is $119,000-$178,000 annually. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity, and is typically made within the midrange, rather than the upper end.

Work Schedule: Full Time

Location: Choose to work onsite in Durango, Colorado, or in a hybrid capacity out of our Seattle, Washington office (with some in-office collaboration days expected).
