We administer the company and push the organization to be the highest performance and efficient while upholding Aevum's quality standards.</p> <h3>Vice President of Operations</h3> <p>The operations team is seeking a Vice President (VP) of Operations to take charge of the company's growing operations, in footprint and complexity, as well as the company's initiative to further empower its hybrid workforce (in-office, remote, contractors, and more). The VP of Operations leads US operations to support the CEO in coordinating all other functional teams within the company to meet organizational goals set by the CEO.</p> <p>As the VP of Operations, you will lead a team of administrative, business, and finance professionals to ensure that the company's day-to-day operations are effective and efficient while also maintaining "big picture" alignment according to the CEO's vision.</p> <p>The most successful candidate has at least 10 years of professional, hands-on experience performing across multiple departments within a technology company. The ideal candidate is tactically minded and laser focused on supporting the CEO achieve his bold goals; therefore, the company's mission to globalize its autonomous transport services. The VP of Operations must be capable of wearing multiple hats as its responsibilities include hiring people, negotiating contracts, addressing budget matters, understanding general business operations and guiding work and teams to complete projects.</p> <p>Operations at Aevum involves exposure to highly sensitive, confidential, and/or classified information requiring confidentiality, tact, and discretion. Trustworthiness and demonstrated ability to handle confidential information is necessary. Aevum is a prime contractor for multiple US Department of Defense (DoD) contracts. The successful VP of Operations is passionate about Aevum's mission and willing to put in the effort and hours necessary to commit progress to humankind's greatest advancements.</p> <p>Aevum's operations are aggressive and you'll be asked to work hard as necessary. The ideal candidate is passionate about making the world better, is a self-starter, is focused on advancing their career, and is hungry to do work that matters.</p> <p>The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $150,000/year commensurate to experience and cultural fit.</p> <h3>RESPONSIBILITIES</h3> <ul> <li>Support the CEO in coordinating various departments within the company to meet his organizational goals</li> <li>Assist the CEO in helping to meet the resource demands of the company (people, financing, operational facilities, etc.)</li> <li>Develop a strategic mind about Aevum's customers' preferences and develop company policies, procedures, and operational details to help enable the company meet customer needs.</li> <li>Oversee the day-to-day operations of Aevum Denver as a part of the Office of the CEO</li> <li>Develop, implement, and improve operational policies, objectives, and processes</li> <li>Work alongside company leadership to manage and maintain lean operational expenses</li> <li>Contribute to the development of the company's operating plans and tactics to attain short- and long-term financial and mission-critical operational goals</li> <li>Evaluate and optimize company operations, operational systems, and procedures to gain efficiencies and minimize corporate risks</li> <li>Ensure compliance with standards and regulations (state and federal) - Aevum has offices in Colorado, Alabama, Washington, and Florida</li> <li>Develop key performance indicators (KPI's) to measure organizational performances</li> <li>Compile and provide the CEO with operational reports that include KPI's and performances</li> <li>Monitor financial and operational metrics and advise the CEO on improvements, as necessary.</li> <li>Help the CEO develop and enforce quality standards to employees</li> <li>Develop and maintain customer and company requirements</li> <li>Perform and oversee administrative activities to direct company operations against objectives set by the CEO</li> <li>Maintain a working knowledge of organizational security practices, physical and digital, and make recommendations to the CEO on opportunities to improve security</li> <li>Protect company information, data, and assets by ensuring that company's policies, procedures, and processes are established, enforced, maintained, updated, and improved as needed.</li> <li>Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by CEO against the needs of the organization</li> </ul> <h3>TRAVEL</h3> <p id="yui_3_17_2_1_1610778413159_139">Minimum travel is required for this position</p> <h3>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field and 10+ years of experience in corporate operations at a high performance tech startup and/or established tech company; or an MBA with 8+ years of industry experience in corporate operations at a tech company</li> <li>3+ experience helping to manage operations of a revenue generating, profitable tech company</li> <li>Fundamental knowledge of corporate finances and accounting principles</li> <li>Experience developing corporate policies and procedures</li> <li>Experience overseeing business administration across multiple states</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of organizational theory</li> </ul> <h3>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</h3> <ul> <li>Familiarity with FAR contracting (FFP, Cost Plus, OTA, etc.) and associated organizational requirements</li> <li>Familiarity with GAAP compliant accounting</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"> <h3>ITAR REQUIREMENT</h3> <p>To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
