On any given day, the selected candidate may perform the following duties:

  • Define schedule metrics, while building and maintaining resource-loaded schedule plans using Microsoft Project across a variety of space and defense development efforts, from R&D to large-scale manufacturing.

  • Collaborate closely with project management, engineering leads, and other stakeholders to create and maintain accurate, realistic, and logically structured project timelines and schedules, cost information and variances.

  • Monitor schedule performance, provide regular updates while identifying variances or risks to the critical path, and recommend corrective actions as needed.

  • Drive internal and customer reporting cycles and deadlines, including schedule reviews, performance metrics, and schedule risk assessments.

  • Coordinate across departments such as contracts, finance, manufacturing, and program management to share critical information needed to maintain schedule alignment with key deliverables and milestones.

  • Provide insight and guidance on corporate processes that tie closely to workflow and project execution.

  • Develop and share templates and tools with IPTLs, SMEs and others to support broader adoption of scheduling best practices across cross functional teams.

  • Provide guidance and input on continuous improvement of scheduling processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant program scheduling experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project (or similar tools) with demonstrated experience building and managing detailed, resource-loaded schedules.

  • Understanding of the project lifecycle, from requirements definition and proposal development through to program execution and delivery.

  • Demonstrated experience with critical path analysis and providing actionable solutions for recovery and risk mitigation.

  • Ability to support and maintain existing program schedules and work alongside other schedulers to complete status updates.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOD Clearance.

Desired Skills and Education:

  • Master's degree in project management, business administration, systems engineering, or industrial engineering.

  • Demonstrated experience and evidence of training in developing and managing schedules within Earned Value Management System (EVMS) environments.

  • Experience developing and managing schedules supporting advanced technology manufacturing or space systems programs.

  • Strong initiative in defining, proposing, implementing, and communicating schedule metrics that support informed decision-making.

  • Beginner- to intermediate-level knowledge of DoDI 5000.88 and related scheduling standards.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen, evaluate, summarize and communicate change seamlessly with technical teams, leadership, and external customers.

  • Familiarity with Department of Defense Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS) principles.

  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 5000.88 or equivalent government program management frameworks.

  • Current DoD security clearance, or equivalent.
