Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a AI&T Engineer to develop and support the end-to-end integration and test activities for complex defense Space RF systems. This role is responsible for executing multi-system build, integration, and verification phases, ensuring all hardware and software components meet design intent, performance requirements, and military standards. The Test Engineer will be assigned to the AI&T team, interfacing directly with the AI&T Cross Product Team Lead, management, engineering leadership, and government customers.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the AI&T strategy from early planning through final system acceptance, ensuring compliance with program requirements and DoD standards.
· Support development and coordinate integration and test activities, including hardware/software integration, functional RF testing, environmental testing, and acceptance testing.
· Develop and review test plans, test procedures, reports, and test readiness review (TRR) packages.
· Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for integration and test anomalies.
· Assist in the development of performance reviews and stakeholder update meetings.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (Master's preferred).
· 5+ years of experience in assembly, integration and test of aerospace or defense systems.
· Understanding of system engineering/test processes, requirements verification, and test methodologies.
· Thorough understanding of DODI 5000.01-02 and service level test instruction.
· Strong decision-making, autonomy, and problem-solving skills.
· U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
· Operations or Acquisitions experience with multi-domain systems (RF, EO/IR, SATCOM, etc.).
· Modeling and Simulation experience.
· Developmental/Operational Test and Evaluation coursework/certification.
· Active TS/SCI clearance preferred.
· Advanced degree preferred.
Performance Metrics for Success
· Accurate Integration and Test documentation delivered on schedule.
· Zero missed critical requirements during verification and meets requirement sell-off criteria
Clearance Level
The salary range for this role is:
$81,481 - $115,500AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
ITAR Requirement:
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
