Job Summary
The primary role of the Configuration Manager is to implement and maintain hardware and software version control processes across complex mission systems. This role ensures the integrity and traceability of system configurations throughout the development lifecycle—from design through deployment. You’ll work directly with engineering teams to define and enforce configuration management standards, manage baselines, and support audits, using tools like DOORS and Eclipse to manage configuration items in secure environments.
Position Responsibilities
Define and implement hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures
Assist with configuration management tool usage (e.g., DOORS, Eclipse) to track and maintain configuration items
Maintain the configuration management environment for build, staging, testing, and integration
Support creation of product build scripts and procedures to align with software and hardware build workflows
Develop and enforce CM documentation across engineering and development teams
Serve as an advisor or support member to the Government Change Control Board (CCB)
Apply CM standards in support of developmental and operational systems
Support configuration audits and participate in change control processes across lifecycle stages
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
6+ years of relevant experience
Minimum of 1 year experience using a source code control system in a program of similar complexity
Proficiency in configuration management tools and version control practices
Familiarity with hardware/software staging, integration, and product build lifecycles
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
Experience working with DOORS, Eclipse, or similar CM tools
Ability to coordinate across technical teams and communicate version control status effectively
Familiarity with Agile workflows and collaborative team environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills to support documentation and reviews
Salary Range: $125,000 – $145,000

Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity, as well as alignment with market data.

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
