Job Description

Summary

The Financial Compliance Analyst assists in interpreting and implementing concepts to ensure adherence to federal government acquisition requirements. Collects, reviews, and suggests recommendations for policies & procedures, business systems, and provides support for federally compliant accounting practices.

Position Responsibilities

  • Supports leadership in preparing supporting data for Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) during audits
  • Assists the preparation of forward pricing and provisional billing indirect rates based on the annual budgets and submits to the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) for preliminary review.
  • Aids analytical finance functions; budget and forecasting support; reconciliations and related analysis; supports short-range and long-range planning and analysis; performs initial root cause analysis and helps draw conclusions and propose solutions to leadership
  • Assists in producing financial reports and presentations, financial analyses, budget and forecasting support
  • Supports continuous financial process improvement and training efforts to enhance efficiencies
  • Drafts relevant policies and procedures, including desk procedures
  • Works on unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires some evaluation of intangibles
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant area of study, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience; government accounting/finance/contracting experience within the Aerospace or Defense industry is desired
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS and CAS regulations and standards
  • Experience in finance/accounting issues surrounding federal government contracting
  • Experience in a defense industry environment helpful

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency using MS Office Applications; specifically, MS Excel
  • Experience working with various ERP systems and reporting software
  • Ability to design and create presentation-quality reports
  • Ability to prepare and submit compliant and auditable incurred cost, forward pricing and provisional billing indirect rate proposals
  • Proficient in synthesizing, presenting and communicating large volumes of financial information and interpret financial data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess strong business partnering and interpersonal communication skills
  • Organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
  • Demonstrated ability to be organized and work both independently and within a team, with strong attention to detail and strong project management skills
  • Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, reach, lift (up to 10 lbs.), bend, etc. Hand and wrist dexterity to utilize the computer.
  • Ability to work in an office environment (Constant)
  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)

Environmental Conditions Critical to Performance:

  • Work is in an office environment, climate controlled through central air conditioning/heating.
  • May have some exposure to outside environment while traveling.

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.

The salary range for this role is:

$98,432 - $139,650
