Summary

The Fixed Asset Accountant II is responsible for overseeing and analyzing cost expenditures within the organization as well as the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, ROI analysis and tracing costs back to underlying activities. In this role, one must be detailed-oriented and can multi-task in a dynamic environment. You will also work across teams to present and translate important financial information and assist in company audits.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Research, analyze, and formally document accounting transactions to ensure adherence to reporting requirements and compliance with U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Develop and maintain Capital Expenditure desk instructions and training documents.
  • Maintain Online Capital Requisition System. Templates, Rate Changes, and Workflow Approvals.
  • Develop and interpret financial and non-financial performance measurements relating to Capital and Property Management.
  • Prepare annual Property Tax reporting to all required agencies.
  • Create Dashboards and Business Intelligence reporting within Oracle, identifying and actioning large budget to actual variances alerting senior management/PM to possible overruns.
  • Review initial submissions from Capital requestors for completeness and accuracy (supplier quotes and basis of estimate).
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Log – Approved Dollars, Actuals, Estimates to Complete communicating directly and often with our NPI/Engineering/FP&A teams and site leaders to assess asset costs, recognition, and site level audits.
  • Lead and perform annual physical inventory of assets
  • Create Project Task combinations for cost collection.
  • Create Sales Orders as required to drive demand for MRP related requirements.
  • Keep Oracle fixed assets subledger up to date with additions, disposals, depreciation, etc., and reconcile monthly to the financial ledger for assets that have been placed into service.
  • The tracking, maintenance, reconciliation, and reporting of the construction in progress.
  • Support the Controller and Assistant Controller in maintaining the Company’s financial reporting and policies.
  • Establish timelines and prioritization of monthly and quarterly individual deliverables to support monthly and quarterly close processes as well as financial reporting timelines.
  • Interface with internal and external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audit; including property tax auditors.
  • Work Closely with Property Management team to ensure coordination of asset tagging, colocation and photos.
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Function as an active member and financial advisor to cross functional management teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in Finance, General Accounting or Fixed Asset accounting
  • PPE asset reconciliation and depreciation experience
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Current expertise in MS Office Suite (Intermediate/Advanced Excel required)
  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System Working knowledge (Oracle Preferred)
  • Proficient General Ledger knowledge and journal entry preparation

The salary range for this role is:

$62,741 - $88,935
