Job Description

Summary

The Network Analyst is responsible for responding to individual user support cases and evaluating all issues that arise within the entire network system. This role will also review network traffic statistics and compile into a summary review for management or audit review. This role is adept at problem-solving and driving results in a highly collaborative team environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Uses independent judgement to consult with users, other departments, external organizations and/or agencies to collect information/gather requirements for existing or proposed network, security and computing devices, server systems, multiuser applications, and/or databases including capacity planning, security, data safety and integrity, disaster recovery, and upgrade planning. Recommends designs, plans projects and coordinates tasks for the installation/maintenance of networks or systems for short-, medium-, and long-range strategic projects.
  • Plans and implements authorized procedures and alternative guidelines for system administration and triage; escalates technical issues as appropriate.
  • Oversees, maintains and inputs applicable records such as, but not limited to, hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security. Researches and recommends hardware and software development, purchase, implementation and use.
  • Prepares detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems, applications, or network capabilities and processes; documents projects and may write user instructions.
  • Participates in the investigation, planning, implementation, testing and debugging of network or systems hardware components and applications.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Special Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology Management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum 2 years related work experience including doing cloud based networking, or advanced degree in related field with additional experience.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Working experience with implementing NIST 800-171, DFARS, PCI and other governance regulations

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • Desired Certifications CompTIA Network+,
  • Excellent architecture and technical support documentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Physical Demands

  • 15 – 25 hours on-site work week with Open availability including evenings and weekends
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.

The salary range for this role is:

$69,259 - $98,175
