Job Purpose:
We are seeking a talented candidate who wants to gain exposure to a range of industrial processes in a Manufacturing operations environment, while owning and supporting ongoing projects. The successful applicant will be expected to support projects in the fields of manufacturing and manufacturing engineering.
As an analyst, you will be an important part of our operation taking guidance from one of our Manufacturing managers and will be supported by the site Manufacturing Engineering team. This will be an initial 6 month contract.
Responsibilities:
- Build and expand your equipment and process knowledge, supporting the Manufacturing Production Manager in line with the Business goals.
- Participate in long-term manufacturing maturity projects.
- Using measuring equipment and calibrated jigs to carry out dimensional verifications as per the current specs.
- Identify waste in the assembly processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
- Carry out daily housekeeping tasks to ensure health, safety, and operational requirements.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in manufacturing processes, engineering operations, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Basic understanding of measurement systems, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with tools such as callipers, micrometres, and other dimensional measurement equipment is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and a keen eye for identifying inefficiencies.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, with a proactive and hands-on approach to learning.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with engineering and operational teams.
- Demonstrated ability to follow health, safety, and quality standards in a workplace setting.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Available to commit full-time to the placement between May and August.
