About this role:
We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our Delft team in the Netherlands. The role involves essential business travel on occasion to meet with customers, partners and participate at relevant events.
This role is responsible for driving sales of AAC Clyde Space’s Space Products portfolio by managing the sales pipeline, developing customer relationships, and supporting business development activities. The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities, qualifying leads, and closing deals while contributing to long-term growth through proactive market engagement.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about space, with a technical background and with previous experience in the sales function, part of a high-technology company developing products. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales to generate, qualify and close needs in line with business priorities
- Manage the full sales cycle for Space Products, from lead qualification to closing.
- Respond to and follow up on inbound enquiries, preparing quotations and commercial proposals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers across commercial, institutional, and government sectors.
- Support business development initiatives by identifying new markets, partners, and opportunities.
- Provide customer feedback and market intelligence to internal teams to inform product development and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and addressed.
- Track and update sales pipeline activity, ensuring CRM accuracy and effective reporting.
- Contribute to upselling and cross-selling activities across the company’s product and service portfolio.
Skills required:
- Relevant degree or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in technical sales, account management, or business development
- Proven track record of building long-term customer relationships and closing commercial opportunities.
- Experience preparing quotations and supporting proposal activities.
- Passion for the space industry and emerging technologies.
- Ability to network and generate opportunities
- Evidence of commercial awareness and customer-focused thinking to deliver excellent customer service
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into clear value propositions.
- Collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with multiple priorities.
- Maintain accountability for your work while contributing to a supportive and inclusive team culture.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tool
- Proficient in English, written and verbal.
Skills desired:
- Previous experience in the space industry or other high-technology company
- Previous experience in working with small/medium sized company
